AMP INSIDER - my first skin release in the wild.

Sorry, I am in make-believe land with some comments. I am
just having fun, I am not truly insane.
What does the inside of a winamp version 2 look like, if it were one of
those pocket MP3 players? Well here it is.
Of course there is the Playlist, EQ, and others, and now it would not
be so portable. Note that everything has been cheesily skinned. Also
note the slight differences in colors, sizes, etc - that come from the
fact that some parts came from China, some Mexico, or USA and others from
who knows where. You know "who gives me the best price just may get the
sale."
FEATURES:
- printed on custom circuit boards.
- surface mount IC's and small components.
- EQ slider now have built-in lights, and main window ones were not
available at time of manufacture. That is why the EQ can be set by
jumpers.
- AVS and MB are not the fluorescent display type, they use LCD.
- the text is to look like the segmented __ __ __ __
kind found in pinball machines, Texas --> |__ / |__||/||__|| |__
Instruments Speak -n- (Read, Spell, Math) --> |__ / | || || |__ |__
games of the 70-80's, and Burger King cash
register displays. Except for where windows fonts are used.
- Cursors are animated where you are to do something while mouse button
is down, IE drag volume bar, or moving window.
- Cursors include (of not so great quality) a: flat screwdriver,
soldering iron, clamp, pliers.
- Rubbery buttons, like those found in your Nintendo controllers.
In Playlist, and browser. (Got bored with those clicky button, like
ones found in PC mice.)
- Find the "LLAMA"
Don't flame me for the errors you do find. Errors known as of 29sep2002:
- AVS window does not have repeat tile, instead it stretches images.
- Playlist window - windowshade/restore button shift one pixel. This is
a winamp issue the base skin does it, but not as noticeable.
- Song text (the text scrolling stuff in main) is not the best. It is
limited by the 4 x 7 pixel size for each char.
- In Playlist - typical edit button issues exist as with skins of this
type.
- Others: version 2 WA is too limiting, can't wait to due a version 3
one.
