-> a^2=ab
a^2-(b^2)=ab-(b^2) -subtract (b^2) from both sides-
-> a^2-b^2=ab-b^2
(a+b)*(a-b)=b*(a-b) -factor out (a-b) from both sides-
-> (a+b)*(a-b)=b*(a-b)
(a+b)=b -cancel out (a-b) from both sides-
-> a+b=b
b+b=b (since a=b)
-> 2b=b
2=1 -cancel out b's-
