"snowflake",with a score of 92. This skin

Judge's comment: "Fantastic 3D modelling
on snowmen, trees, etc. Wide colour range
(not faded). Funky circular / wide style.
Lovely backgrounds. Innovative EQ sliders.
Absolutely trend mikroamp (great play/stop
symbol integration). Great cursors. All
round theme is well carried through. I wish
I could raise the temperature in winter
with those EQ bars!"

Snowflake (the story)
This skin was made for the "winter"
constest we had in de forums on winamp.com
in the winter of 2002/2003. Snowflake is
the result after trying two other "winter"
styled skins that where not as succesfull
as I hoped. They lacked in functionality
and/or looks.

A word about the "Cbuttons"
Though the Cbuttons (previous, play,
pause, stop, next and eject) on this
skin do not have the most obvious
symbols and may be a bit hard to work
with when you don't have a lot of
experience with winamp, you'll find
that you get used to it quite fast.
The idea behind the buttons is rather
simple. I tried to use the same three
symbols as much as possible.
A word about "stacking the components"
I designed the skin so it would be
horizontally stackable. This means that
you can put the Equalizer next to the
Main window on either the left or right
side. The same goes for the combination
of the Minibrowser and Playlist Editor.
note: The MB and PL can't be smoothly
stacked next to the main or EQ and vise
versa due to the fact that the PL and
the MB are resizeable. Because they are
resizeable they tile a part of the bitmap.
This Tiling of the bitmap would result
in repeating tree tops if i would have
used the same trees as I used in the
EQ and Main)
A word about the "winshade modes"
Some people might find that the winshade
modes are rather plain. This can be explained
in three diffrent ways:
1. If I would use the winshade mode I want
functionality above looks.
2. If I would use the winshade mode I want
to be free in the order that i stack
the windows.
3. The winshades use the same part of the
same bitmap as the titlebars in the
other windows.
