Legion skin 1.0 for WinAmp
----------------------------------------
I wanted to make a cool, smooth
metal skin that was a bit different
from most of the others, but also
the kind of skin that you will
want to use all the time (i.e. not
having most of the buttons/components
unlabeled or tiny etc.)
The name - Legion - is taken from
Red Dwarf, but was not a basis for
the skin - it was thought of
afterwards as it seemed to fit the
feel of the skin.

How to make some of the bits in PSP7:
Background texture
-----------------------------------------
The background metal texture was made
using the 'Finished Wood 1' texture,
negatived, chromed (flaws 3), motion
blur horizontally 20 px. and colourise
(hue 148, saturation 40).
-----------------------------------------
Buttons
-----------------------------------------
Select the area you want with an anti-aliased
elipse, fill with 50% grey, inner-bevel (31
width, 15 smoothness, 5 depth, 0 ambience, 46
shininess). Contract the selection 2 px., fill
blue (0, 70, 164), invert selection, drop
shadow (offset 0,0 , opacity 100, blur 6,
colour black), invert selection back again
and contract another 2 px. Then apply the same
bevel as before, and hey presto, you have some
Legion buttons!

This skin was inspired by the cover of the CD Forward Rewinding, by the Alpha Conspiracy and Low Technicians, thus I named the skin Low Tech. The low technicians are a great synthpop band, so if that's your thing, check them out.
